I used the TDA7438D in an audio project some years ago, and I would like to use it again, but I've seen that most part of suppliers consider it as an obsolete IC.
For those who don't know: the TDA7438D ( and TDA7439 ) is a digitally controlled analog audio processor. So you can connect to this IC the analog signals to process and specify through the I2C the wished bass and treble levels. It was very practical and easy to use. So I've been searching for a new option but I'havent been able to find anything similar. Can anybody give me the reference of an IC capable of controlling digitally an audio Analog Sterero signal? BGA options are not usefull to me because it is for a "home made" project Thanks in advance! Tolaemon |

Hey, I am planning on using that chip in my homemade amplifier. It's still available at Digikey. What experiences do you have with that chip? How is the sound?
