TDA7268 16 pin DIP dual channel 2 x 2 watt IC.
Just got it in today and had it on the bread board testing it. It passed my load tests (capcitive, inductive, resistive stability...) I scoped the output checking for ringing and oscillations and such with my function generator feeding the input. Of course there was the listening with the CD player and some good tunes. The amp is a true complimentary output design for larger output swing without a bootstrap cap. With a regulated 9 volt supply, it swung 7 volts peak to peak with non inductive 5 Ohm load just before clipping. This is about as good as it gets with a single ended amp. The input decoupling caps are only .1uf. With my function generator at 30Hz I paralled them with a .27 uf and the output barely changed, so the .1uf value is good. They seemed kind of small value is why I checked (I don't always trust the datasheets) So, if your looking for low part count stereo IC for low power battery use, this one passes my tests. |
