Default Help identyfing capacitors on lm3886 briangt

Hi

I am in the process of building a lm3886 using pcbs from BrianGT.
I have managed to find out all the parts except the square blu capacitors (C3,C4,Cz on Amp Board and C1 to 4 on power supply board)
Pictured on this link.

Could sombody please give me the type and physical dimensions of the capacitors and direct link would also be great.

Sincereley Julius

I bought Vishay-Roederstein MKP1837 caps for these thinking they would fit. They don't, they are larger than the blue caps Brian supplies. You will not be able mount them all on the same side of the PCB. See picture.

Try a BC Components 2222 416 41004. It's 5mm, should be small enough. He lists it's a BC cap on the parts list, so that's likely the one.

Evox-Rifa PHE 426 (RS 414-7614) would fit everywhere but not in C3, C4 if C1 and C2 are larger than 10mm (amp board).

In my chipamp.com gainclone I've left off C3, C4 (in both amp and PSU boards) because this way sound is smoother.

You can read more about it in my post about PS decoupling caps in Gainclone.

You're welcome Mr. Julius!

Good choice of chip amp BTW. I have just finished my dual monoblock setup. I'm very pleased with the results. I'm sure you'll be too.
