TDA7266 suggestions

I´m about to build a small amp using the tda7266. Do you think I need a buffer and is the schematic in the application notes ok or would you all like to add something?

I built a small amp with a pair of TDA7350's,and followed the data sheet,it works well.

The circuit on the data sheet for the TDA7266 looks good to me.
I would suggest using a larger filter cap though. 4700uf is probably a good start,adjust to taste.(I noticed on my amp that large filter caps helped the bass response.)

Edit:
Ohh,I don't think a buffer will be needed.
Add an input pot/attenuator,and you should be good,for line-level input.

I tried building one of these, and for some reason I got it to work once, and then it died. I was using a 12v 1A HP printer power supply.

My only thought was that it might be that the ICs are electrostatic sensitive, and (although i did ground myself to discharge before working) I was not wearing an ESD wriststrap.

I was never able to figure out what happened, but I just got another 2 of the IC's so I'm gonna have another shot at it. I used a 1000uf filter cap, snubbed with a 1uf film, and 0.1uf caps on the inputs.
