You can Avel-Lindberg transformers from Parts Express.

Recently I got a good deal on some 24-0-24 5A EI core trafos. You need two of those to get a 2 rail supply but sometimes the price is good enough to justify buying two. (I got six of them for $10/each. Worth it.) Part Express also has some like this but I think they are about $20 each so getting a toroidal is pretty comparable.

OK, I'll be more precise this time around.

If you're driving a 4 ohm load, buy:

If you're driving an 8 ohm load, buy:

If you're driving an 8 ohm load and want to spend a little bit more money for a small performance gain, buy:

BTW: Not to do the moderators jobs, but please don't start new threads to ask the same question again.

40VCT is the same as 20V-0-20Vac. This will give about +-30Vdc when offload, after rectification and smoothing.
A 20Vac-0 + 20Vac-0 dual secondary can be used equally well.

The 20VCT will give about +-15Vdc after rectification and smoothing. If it's then regulated it can give only ~+-12Vdc at maximum.

From the conflicting information that Zero is posting, I have no idea what he is offering. Does he know?
