Wasnt sure what forum to post this in so i thought id stick it here, ive just been given a sony 5.1 reciever, needles to say its of no use to me so ive decided to strip it if worth while.
any of these parts usefull? are the caps worth salvaging or are they well into there remaining life span? and those chips on the heatsink are these usefull? ive no doubt got a purpose for the sink so thats handy but what about the rest?[IMG] [/IMG]

if you have an ESR meter check those Elna caps.they look fine but, you never know.check the power supply,maybe you can save the bridge rectifier,transformer(check the secondary voltage that way you know if the voltage is adequate for a future project).
