SSM2302 source - connection considerations
I've got an OLPC XO1 that I've been thinking to convert into a temporary music station, streaming music over wifi. Mostly because it's small and fun and second - because it looks like it would fite nicely in a DIY project. Also - since it has no mechanical parts or power supply on-board there's little interference from side components which makes it a decent source for computer music. (How good is the AD1888 that's used inside is another question)
Now, the output stage of the OLPC sound system is this little IC here:

1.4W into an 8ohm load, not too bad THD and SNR for such a device, although the THR graph fluctuates a lot when it comes to output power.
Since I want to try it out as input for my chipamp.com LM3886 circuits, yet to be assembled, I was wondering if there's anything I should keep in mind, given that I don't have a preamp stage. I mean - since the SSM2302amp won't see this as an 8ohm load, I don't want to have it operating in a mode which will totally cripple the sound.
I'm a bit confused when it comes to matching input and output impedances of different stages yet, my analog circuits knowledge is quite rusty. It's been a while since high school where I got to play with that sort of things.
