Hello all,
I have a great phono preamplifier that has balanced I/O. My phono is a MM project debut II and it has unbalanced rca outputs. I was wondering if there is a way to connect directly the unbalanced output of the phono to the balanced input of the preamp. And also vice versa at the preamplifier output end to the next unbalanced stage. My will is not to use opamps and to keep the circuit as simple as possible in order not to compromise the sound fidelity of the preamplifier. Thank you all.

I have seen your design in another topic but, how about sound performance? Is there any way to achieve this conversion without an active device?

A transformer would be the only passive way.
And just because sumething is the simplest way possible or passive, doesn't mean it's the most accurate or neutral or best.
