I just ordered my first kit from peter daniels It was 2 amp pcb 2 rectfier bridge pcb and components. I think this is the classic dual mono kit i be using it in the stereo mode as I will use one toriod.
So i think i have spare rectifier bridge left as everyone who using the amp in stereo mode are using one rectifier bridge. Just been on the antek website looked at the 3222 toriod. i asked john is this suitable for gainclone as i need 300va 2x22v he said yh it is suitable. but on the pdf file it shows one 230v and 2 115v and just one 22v secodnary. |

Well, the kits from Peter Daniel (Audiosector) will include everything you need to build your GC.He even have Plitron transformers(very good),potentiometers(noble) just in case you need to order too.
PS: take your time to build it.Do not rush it.that way you will not make mistakes.Good luck. |

I just looked at the anteck pdf, and I'm pretty sure that the 3222 is supposed to have two 22 V secondaries. The 220 is most likely a typo. I'd email John to make sure that's the case though. I have a 500 VA trafo that from Antek that's been pretty good. Not great, but considering the price difference between Antek and Plitron, I can easily put that trafo in a shielded power supply box.

There is this great british website i really want to buy from them for 47 pound in total for the toriod but they not replied back to me as i can only pay by paypal as no money on the credit card.
wait here it is http://www.airlinktransformers.com/checkout.asp so peter sells toriods to and noble pots i wonder if he is online so i request them as well. here is the link of my old amplfiier now stripped to make room for the gainclone. I hyave moved the heatsinks from the back to front end of the section of the amp. http://img162.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pic1nt3.jpg Here is another pic this time of my tools and bits taken from the amp which were toriod on sale now on ebay. I still got the 80vdc 6800uf caps , bridge (square thing) and screws and toshiba trans. http://img379.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pic2hl5.jpg |
