Here are pics of my first attempt on a gainclone. LM3887 kit from audio sector.....chose this hammond tank as an enclosure because it's the first and I needed space! What I forgot was since this is a tank, it was a b---h to cut holes in it. Anyways, I have to say...this thing with the passive preamp from luminous audio sounds better than my MF setup....which is now on vacation on the bottom rack along with a newly arrived pop pulse t70i. The amp is on the second shelf .....just had to post this....am proud of it even if its industrial looking and even if everyone else has graduated from making gainclone amps. Thanks for looking.
