This depends on the setup of the output circuitry on the amplifier.

If you have no Zobel network and/or no decoupling inductor, you may run into oscillation as the speaker leads get longer.

The inductor in series (often in parallel with a resistor about 10ohms) that you see in many SS amplifiers is there to decouple the speaker lead capacitance from the feedback circuit to prevent oscillation.

The Zobel network helps greatly in this respect and in some others as well.

As long as the output filter is set up properly, you can drive very long cables without any trouble. The only problem you begin to run into is power loss, but it takes extremely long cabling before that is noticeable.
