Default Gain of TDA7294

According to the datasheet, the manufacture set the gain of 30dB in their recommended circuit.

Will I cause any adverse effect or any performance degardation to the Amp if I lower the gain to about 27dB?

Will the amp tends to oscillate after the gain has been set to certain lower value?

Intended load impedance is 8 Ohm. Supply voltage will be +/-40V, regulated.

Thanks.

I've tried TDA7293S with 21X (~26.5dB) gain and observed no problem.

i have checked 7294 with gain setting 26 as the usual power amp.it is sound good.

there are two cases i am interest in 7294.
1,it is cheaper than nsc's overture series,
2,it is mosfet output.

Hi,

According to spec sheet :

Quote:
(**) CLOSED LOOP GAIN HAS TO BE >/= 24dB
So 30dB gain has 6dB more gain margin + more phase margin.
