I have an old pair of DCMs that I've replaced the woofers on. Very nice.
Just curious to hear what you guys like out there in the way of speakers. Thanks much.

Now that's funny, no one has speakers with their amps!
If you do though, please post here and tell me what you like using and how they're working for you.

Fostex 166 BiBs behind my bottlehead S.E.X tube amp or a 3875 chip amp.
The BiBs and a chip amp make a hard to beat combo at $200 -$250 out-the-door. 7/10 |

Mission 753's
I loved these speakers when I used to sell Hi Fi. Managed to get the rosewood non-freedom's at half price a few years later as ex displays. At the moment they are running on the plans published on Decibel dungeon. SMPS power supply and 4 lm3875's passively bi amping them, I have a Kookaburra preamp in the same case with seperate PSU. Source is a 24chip USB DDDAC. Currently my plan is to dec-amp them with lm3886's and an active filter. Gradually gathering the parts. I have made a measurement mic to help me design the active crossover... |
