Default erm.. help.. gas soldering heat problems..??

hi, just building one of brian gt's lm3886 kits and in the middle of soldering it up ive realised that my gas soldering iron makes the components very hot. its a standard iroda one and im wondering if ive caused any damage to any of the components such as the lm3886 chip through over heating them or not??

thanks,
richard
