Well,I have seen some people using the 1000uf ,1500uf and higher capacitors on power supply board and small or 10uf Polypropylene capacitors on the chip boards (LM3875).I see the power supply board has "small" space for caps like 1500uf or so.but the chip boards has space for big caps.
some people put the "BIG" caps on the bottom of the power supply boards. what is the difference putting the small caps on the chip board?. will this "change" improve the sound or it will be the same?. what is the "original" layout of the capacitors of a "Gainclone"?
