how to control 6 channels using one pot

I have 6 amplifiers to drive 6 speakers.

Is there any way to control all the 6 channel volume using just one pot?

Is there any other way( that is used in modern day home theater systems) to add a volume up and down key to increase or decrease the volume of 6 channels?

They make 6-gang potentiometers... they're expensive though.

have you ever worked with opto-isolators??

what about the good old fashion alps pots, look up the ebay on alps pots, you will find it.

OR

See this site, on his implemenation for 6 channel vol. for DCX 2496. you have to adapt for your condition.

the none of the "alps pots" in ebay are for 6 channels, they r all stereo.

Look at the Maxim DS1802

You can probably use 3 of them for 6 channels. Check their app notes.

My inelegant approach should work too. But I don't think you will choose to get into the trouble, unless you are hardware enthusiast
