Warning for poor batch of National LM1875 chips!
Most LM1875 chips are OK but I found chips (14 in a batch of 14 pieces) with a slew rate of only 400 mV per microseconds where good chips have slew rate of 10 to 12 volt per microseconds. Marking on my poor chips was "82G" where good chips, according specification, have "JM32AE" or other mark, always longer than 3 positions. Check your amplifier. Power bandwidth of the poor chip is not even reaching 10 kHz where good amplifiers reach 100 kHz or more. When you see a 10 kHz triangle and not a sinewave on your scope then replace the LM1875 for a good one. National Europe does not react on any reclamation. Very disappointing. FS |
