I have heard and read alot bout Gainclone amplifier. Is it worth investing time on chip amp? Due to the circuit simplicity, it is favorable for hifi buff but will it create alot of noise internally? I have not seen much of design with this amp, maybe you guys have any better ones?

If you have efficient speakers, and use an active pre amp or buffer before the Gainclone, I would be totally surprised if you didn't like the sound a lot.

65W from the amp is enough to power alot of speakers. But I'm not sure how good is the amplifier sounds? The more transistors you stuff into a single IC will generate more noise & heat? Sorry for being skeptical on chip amp performance.

Maybe you should learn a little electronics before you consider building? |

Fossil, just look at the number of posts on this forum alone about building Gainclones. If they weren't any good do you honestly think so many people would have wasted so much time and money on them? The craze would have died out years ago!
It may have been a gamble to build one five years ago but not today!

my knowledge is not much, that is why i ask.i 've tried building a chip amp some time ago but do not really enjoy the sound.maybe nuuk is correct that chip amp nowadays are better than 5 years ago which is approx the time i built it.i've read in the forum that speakers are blown because it doesn't have protection to the output.sincerely appreciate if you guys can advise.

Build (and operate) a chip amp 'properly' and there is no reason why it should damage your speakers. If you are worried then use some speaker protection between the amp and speakers.
If you go here and study, you fill find all the information you need.
