Hi !!
I would like to know, if the TDA7293 amp can handle an 8 Ohms woofer with + - unregulated 42v PSU. It falls at 39V at full power. Would it be a "panzer" amp alone, or it must have another paraleled device to be really safe? I built the one amp, and it's extremelly quiet, much less hiss than the LM3886. Thank you very much ! Best Regards! |

It should handle such supply voltage as this chip is rated up to +/-50V
The only thing that must be taken into account is not dissipating more than 50W on the chip. But I can't find any formula to compute this dissipation... |

The chips are running for months here at these rails, I didn't wait for the answer here.
Yes, definitivelly the chip can handle it. |

Is there a schematic or perhaps a layout or kit for TDA7293? I'd sure like one.
