Default RCA bypass on gainclones

My first question here - probably very stupid.

I am building a Gainclone based on BrianGT design (dual mono kit). I have ony one set of pre-amp out on my pre-amplifier and I want to use a sub-wofer. Can I install an extra set of RCA directly connected to the pre-in on my new Gainclone and plug my subwoofer cable into one of them? Is that going to change something in the way how Gainclone senses the input?? Am I better off just using an RCA splitter on the pre-out end and run one cable to the sub and one to the gainclone - but that is in my mind almost exactly the same as the first scenario.... ....confused....

If I understand you correctly you want to connect both the chipamp and the sub amp to the output of your preamp. You should be able to do this just fine by wiring the two in parallel either via a y-cable or by adding a couple of RCAs to your chassis. Most amplifiers have a quite high input impedance, so you can run a few in parallel from the output of a preamp without doing any harm.

Yes - You understood me correctly (since I managed to confuse myself even) - I will then add another pair of RCAa on the gainclone.

I was a bit worried about impedance change due to having one amp on one pre-amp output and two on the other.
