Default Don't Want Potentiometer in Circuit

I ordered a small 1W amp kit and it came with a 10K potentiometer which is too big and bulky, and I just want to connect the holes in the PCB for that potentiometer so that it is at full volume always (I want to adjust the volume on the mp3). By looking at the schematic, can anyone tell me the correct way to wire it so that it is at full volume always? I have found one way for full volume always, but when i turn off the mp3 and the amp is still on, it makes a lot of static noise. Thanks.

Think of your Pot as 2 resistors in series... i.e. it has 3 taps...

With the IN signal sitting on the midle tap... ground is connected on the first tap, and out on the far side....

When your pot is at 0 the resistor to ground = 0R and the resistor to input is the balance of 10K (your pot's size)

at 50% power there is 5k between both signal IN and to ground, and 5k from signal IN to signal out...

at full volume signal in to signal out = 0R and signal in to ground =10K...

Thanks. I did some experimenting with it before I read your reply, Nordic, and found out how to make both of the speakers work at full volume, but when I turn off the mp3, there is a ton of popping and static, and it gets even worse if I touch one of the solder joints or connections. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks.

Yeah, I put some wires together and got the speakers to work, and then somehow the annoying buzzing just stopped. Thanks for the help though. Hopefully i won't ahve any more problems.
