Ok, I'm not an electronics expert, so bear with me please.
I have an old Bogen CT60 (orig. vers) which i purchased for my organization on eekbay. The amp section works just fine when I plug in a radio, CD, even a mic into the AUX jack. However, none of the 4 mic inputs/vol controls work. Sound is almost like there is no connection when I turn up the master & mike volumes. I noticed there are 3 parts on the schematic labled "LVP-1- bottom view" On my circuit board these look like soldered in sockets of some sort, with nothing plugged into them. My question: Has someone scavenged parts out of this unit or is this the way it should be. If scavenged, does anyone know where I can get these parts? Bogen is of no help on the older units. Thanks in advance. Djedi |

Even guesses would be appreciated at this point.
Just trying to figure out if I should deep six this thing or if it is repairable. Anyway, here's the schematic view of it. Thanks Djedi |

I would use it as a power amplifier and get a budget mic mixer as the input section. The cost of repair may be more than a mixer and modern mixers have useful features that I think the Bogen lack.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Unfortunately I won't be the only one using this, so I don't want too many pieces for people to fool with. But If I can't find an answer, may be I can mount the parts inside this one. Good thought. Anyone else with an idea? |

My guess is that you are missing the mic transformers...

Thanks for your response. Are you referring to the low impedance transformers? There are special round sockets for those and there were four on the board, with transformers in three of them. The manual said to plug those in if you were using low impedance mics (and there were some jumpers to set), which seemed to be correct.
But if one was using high impedance mics, those transformers were not supposed to be installed and jumpers were to be set for high impedance. Are you telling me there should be other mic transformers on the board for high impedance mode? Thanks Djedi |
