transistor compatibility question

im fixing my friends old audison amp, and am having problems finding the original part for the transistors in the output section.

the originals are STmicro BDW93/94c and i cant find them, the only thing i can find is the STmicro BD911/912 pair.

the volt/amp ratings are ok, but the:

hfe @ Ic Vce min/max are totally different.

BD= min-15.....max-150.......(A)5...(V)4
BDW=min-750...max-20000...(A)5...(V)3

Vce(sat)@Ic Ib are also different

BD= (V)1 ....(A) 5....(ma)500
BDW=(V)2......(A)5....(ma)20

will the BD work? what exactly is hfe and Vce?

Hfe is transistor gain and Vce is voltage across emitter and collector. (sat) means saturated or completely on.

The originals are darlingtons. The BD911 pair won't work.

If you can't find the originals, the TIP102/107 or the TIP142T/147T pairs should work. The 102/107 has a lower current rating but should work if he's not abusive.
