I would like a smaller box I know the recommend volume is best but if I half the box volume on any sub wouldn’t that double the resonate frequency?
I haven’t a clue in this area so how does that work?

Some specs of the sub.

Hi hate to say this but I don’t know much about the real technical terms of speakers but I loaded a soloX 18” into winISD PRO and set the sealed box at 2cuf it loses 3db around 10-20hz I have no idea but will this effect the sound that much?

To me I don’t understand the program because you add mass to the cone and you get a db rise over the frequency response doesn’t make sense to me.

I have limited space I can’t go much bigger than about 3cuf sealed or ported box
Will I lose much power?
The sub requires a 6 cu.ft. sealed and 5 cu.ft. ported

Any help will be greatly appreciated
