Strange noise coming from MTX Thunder1004 amplifier

It is making a buzzing/static-like sound coming from the power terminals on the amp when it's powered on. Almost kinda crackly, very electrical sounding if that makes sense lol. Amplifier doesn't act any differently from what I can tell, still works and sounds fine. The back seat has been out for a little while so I doubt it's heat buildup on the amp (04 Chevy Extended Cab Pickup btw, mounted on the rear wall behind the rear seat).

Just discovered that it only makes this noise when the engine is running, not when just placed in accessory. When you start the engine up it actually gets louder and more erradic for a moment, sounds just like a hard drive being accessed on a computer. This is coming from the amplifier itself, not transmitted through the speakers.

Any input/suggestions?

Open the cover and listen closely to the power transformer, it might be singing (making noises), If so You can use a simple epoxy coating to stop the noise. I use Super corona dope to seal up the windings, and stop them from vibrating and causeing noise.
Give it a look see and let me know what you find when listening inside the amp
