This is a question for some of you who may be up to date on the true innner workings of amps. I'm seeing that some of the current Planet Audio amps are "Handcrafted in the USA". Just wanting to know if anyone here knows anything about them in terms of quality. In spite of the corny name, the BIG BANG line is beautiful and is being promoted as high end. Also, while on the subject of US made amps, are the "25 to Life" RFs being made in USA? And, as an owner of several Zed Audio made amps over the years, are the new Zed amps worthy of a serious look?

I can't say much about the Planet Audio's except give you this link: http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/

They have almost every amp brand you can think of, they're listed in alphabetical order, maybe they have some pics of the inside of a particular Planet Audio amp you're looking into.

As far as the RF amps go, all of them are still made in the U.S., but the majority are made by robotics to "ensure better build quality and performance" It's really obvious once you see the solder connections etc on the board. The 25toLIFE series might be hand built, no idea though.
