Hey i just baught a used coustic rta33 after years of bugging the local shop to use there audiocontroll meter i finally have my own.
my question is the about the mic. It didnt come with one. So i went to gituar center and baught a Behringer ECM8000 measurement mic. I had to purchace a phantom powersupply for mic and adapt the XLR's to 3.5mm Mono so i baught all the stuff, it seems to work ok but ide thought i would ask some of you. OK so i hooked up the RTA put in a burned copy of stereo pink noise off 2000IASCA cd. and measured the system, set to flat responce and drove around so that my ears could get used to a flat curve (come on guys it has been a few years for me) got home, fiddled with the gains and re-tuned listen to it and i was like aahhhhh spectrial balance... but after listening for a while seems like 16-20Khz range is just too high. Is the Beheranger mic setup i have working with the meter ok? I appriciate it in advance for the time it takeds to reply this. ThankYou Andy
