06 Tacoma

I'm going to buy a new 06 Tacoma and want to install an after market stereo. Is this posible? I read that everything is tied to the computer. And what size are the door speakers in this truck? T edward

Anything is possible with enough time, money or both. A *good* shop will tell you that.

If the stock system is too tied-in to running the car, you may have to extend cables and 'hide' the equipment

How about replacing the speakers and instaling a Jlaudio LC6i and a sub? T edward

LC6i = ?

as long as the non-sub speakers are the right size and electrically compatible the hardest part is not messing up the door panels or wherever they are mounted.

I guess I'll have to get the truck and pull the panels to see what size the speakers are. Tom Daugherty

LC6i, you will have to copy and paste. Tom Daugherty

crutchfield may have the dimensions... last time I looked (long time ago) they had a chart with different cars vs. speaker dimensions.

if the circuit is properly implemented, the line-level converter should be just the ticket

and if you just type the URL, it comes up as a clickable link on DIYAudio.

5-1/4" Component System would be your best bet... 5 1/4 is the front speakers.... dont know about the rest of them
