Default Audio-To-Light Modulator

Hi all,

I'm looking at setting up either an Audio-To-Light Modulator or VU Peak Meter for use in my car.

Does anyone know how to do this, or know where I can find information on how I can do this.

Things is must do: Plug into the "output" RCA's on my Amplifier; Run Multiple LED's

I have Rockford Fosgate Amplifiers and they currently do the "Audio-To-Light" thing with LED's on it's chipboard, I'm looking to recreate this.

Thanks.

Why not just buffer the existing LED signal, or if you don't want to break into your amp, use photodiodes / transistors monitoring the LEDs to operate a mimic display?

Also look up the datasheets for the LM3914 and LM3915.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the suggestions.

I don't particularly want to "break" into my amp, although it would be all too simply considering the cover where the LED's are pulls straight off.

I know very little about electronics, only enough to survive.

By photodiodes, I'm assuming you mean diodes to "watch" the LED's and mimic them that way?

Thanks for the sheets Perry. I welcome all suggestions
