Default 4ohm Car Speaker to 8ohm Use?

Newbie question here and I did try a search on keywords...

I have two extra Infinity Kappa 63.5i car speakers (4 ohm) and would like to "convert" them for use (in small enclosures) driven by an older but very usable home amplifier which requires an 8 to 16ohm load.

Is there an easy way to do this? Like, insert a resistor in the signal path? My cabinetry making skills are much better than my electrical engineering, obviously.

BTW, I wouldn't be doing this if the two in-use 63.5i's in my vehicle didn't sound just spectacular. I originally bought and installed four but the two in the rear doors ruined the imaging so I never use them anymore plus the two front ones are more than enough to be a danger to my hearing. So, why not use them in the home?

Thanks for any help on this.
