Lightbulb how did you build your box

ive heard a lot of different ways and stories when it comes to box building. what about you, what kinds of things do you consider / how d o you go about it when building the perfect box, for SPL and SQ both?

i use a sliding slot port with a predetermined length to find the best surface area, but it almost always ends up with 'approx'
12-16 sqin" of port for every cubic foot....as far as length, you just have to experiment to see what tone you want the sub to take...

a bit of advice while actually building it, if your not planning on using wood glue and just using screws....get the cuts as straight and clean as possible (pre-cut) is good, then use super glue to keep the pieces in place, then drilling the holes for the screws will be much easier and much much much faster...

if you use a jig saw to cut the straight lines, forget the super glue...there will be gaps and it wont work like it should.

the super glue is only there to keep things in place as you drill, not for strength...

always try to keep the airflow as even as possible for all subs when porting...
