jaycar or boschmann sub amp?

Which one of these is a better amp power wise I was after quality too I know there’re very cheap and you get what you pay for. It’s to run 2 X 12inch 600w subs for competition use maybe.

For competition use I doubt either are up to the task.

The comps in our town aren’t that big but have good prizes; I’m not going to have a setup like Steve cook or “team loud’ no way that’s good but insane. If I set it up good I can get a reasonable level out of it. Which amp is the better one?

Why not try to find a Phoenix Gold or Rockford secondhand (or any of the other A-brands for that matter)?
One site I really thought was enlightening was http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/
Looking at those pictures, it's clear which amps are up to the task and which are not. Look at the layout and type of components and the type of PCB material.

Jaycar Monoblock!

It's actually rated 1000wrms @ 1ohm by the manufacturer, and is only rated at 820wrms @ 1ohm by Jaycar because the person who tested the products prior to Jaycar releasing them did not have a stable enough test bench to get better results.

Have heard very good results from people with these amps too...
