hey guys i just bought a new amp and i was wondering what is low pass filter it has 50-300hz? what should i set it on

That's usually determined by the response of the drivers that take over from the woofer. Or you can just twist it back and forth and decide for yourself where it sounds best.

I higher setting won't hurt anything, the sub would be perfectly happy playing a full range signal (well, it would be full range until its inductance started cutting off the upper end at 4-500hz or thereabouts). I would start with it around 80hz and see how it sounds. If you have a weak front stage you may need to raise it up a little higher so it can help out with the midbass that your other speakers are lacking, but try not to raise it too high because the higher the frequency, the more directional it is (you can pinpoint the source). You don't want to hear the voices in your music coming from your trunk now do you?
