hey what do you guys think about the boss audio ripper d3? I'm thinking of buying one for my two alphasonik psw812 series 12' subwoofers which are 900 watt rms-1800 watt peak. Or what amp do you suggest? I want very loud bass cause i plan on entering in low category spl competitions.

How are you going to power such a device? I hope not with 12V...3000W/12V=250A
You might need to run a copper bus bar throughout your car! External PS I presume?

What is it fused at, lol. Boss is a step (baby step) up from Pyramid. Funny how manufactures can pull 3,000 watts out of 25 amps, must be running a flux capacitor?....

Boss is horrible, I highly doubt that "3000 watt" amp does any more than 500rms. By the way, RMS power is what you always look at, peak means nothing (Boss is a good example of why).

If you want to REALLY power 2 x 900 RMS. Please save the $$ and go big time, If you want to compete? Check out eBay for some used amps like. MMATS, US Amps, etc. and other high end manufactures. In the end you will not be disapointed, If you find the right deal.
