Hi,
Welcome, I don't think there is a single thread that would address the answer you are looking for. But I think most of the pieces you need are available in the various forums... There a some important differences between audio for cars and audio for the home. Not all of which are addressed directly yet, but the first and trickiest is probably power, luckily some of the folks here in the car audio section are pursuing the development of a high power Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS), which used properly could power just about any high end amplifier. The upshot of this is that if you follow the various threads in the other forums about amps in general, find a design that floats your boat, you then can follow the threads here discussing and ultimately making the power supply and then you should have the start of a really, really good car amp. Packaging is a bit of an issue, but buying a cheap car amp and gutting it gets you along way towards the goal... Stuart |
