Default MTX 6500d Parts

Alright. I bought an MTX 6500d and used it for about a week. What I think happened was the power wire came out of the terminal and touched on the ground. What is wrong with the amp is 2 transistors are burnt. They are little and black and have 3 leads. I believe the numbers on them start with FET but I'm not positive. I've tried contacting MTX to get the parts replaced but have had no luck. I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I can get them?
Email me at weston@stage3-1.com Thanks.

without any identification is hard to say what kind of transistor you need to replace, try to find out on internet a test bench of the amp o similar, for example on www.carsound.com there is a test of MTX thunder 500D, may the transitor are the same.

if i remember correctly, there irfz48 for the powersupply and irfp240 for the outputs. They don't actually use irfz48, the use 75339p, but the irf are easier to get and i think there better.

I'll have to order those on my next order. Thank You.
RE: anton
The power chips have aluminium clamping bars on the power devices so you cant see what they are in pics. Heres the closest Ive found from a 251D but I can see the outlines and mine(MTX 282) are for sure T0220 Devices.mtx comparison

I was wrong , the power supply is right, the outputs are irf540's, i know for a fact every amp above the 282 has irfp240 for there outputs. .

Use irfz48 for the power supply, very easy to find. Or if you want the 75339p you can buy them at mouser.
