If you use a rectangular "wrap around port" (the vent wraps around the outside of the enclosure) you can have a vented enclosure with a 3db down point of ~30hz

40L enclosure, 30mm x 250mm rectangular vent, 500mm long.

not perfect, a full quarter of a second group delay at 35 hz.

But I'd try the 30l sealed enclosure first, you may be surprised...

Would you be able to get me a sketch of the "wrap around port"? im having a hard time visualizing it.

the slot port is as high as the box is (easier to make) you just re-calculate length ect to suit your particular box dimentions
