Alternator Failed - Stereo AMP and SUB woofer cause ?

Myon just installed sub box and a Clarus 700w (250 ch x2) into his Volvo. Alternator (75amp) just blew (after about 2 weeks of using) Power is fused at battery (40amp fuse) 8 guage wire.

Is there a way to run this sys w/o having to worry about destroying another alt ???

Get a heavy duty alternator. Or keep the volume down when using other accessories like heater blower and defogger.

I've seen two alternators in some tuning concentrations and a battery in the trunk.
