Hello,
I am looking for a design of an amplifier to drive a 350 watt sub-woofer.
Design targets:
- good 20 Hz wave
- Minimum 350 Watts at 8ohms
- No filters, it will be driven by an electronic crossover
- can be a less powerful amplifier (e.g. 100 watts) but must be able to be bridged (i.e. 2 amplifiers to give 350 watts)
- Will drive a single driver unit (350 watts at 8 omhs)
Thanks & Regards

Here is that amplifier circuit
Here is that amplifier circuit
that schematic is for anthony holtons symmetrical mosfet amp. you can get the full article at his website http://www.aussieamplifiers.com/ its in the power amplifiers section.
djQuan - if you're asking if the amp could be used in the car/home then yes as long as you had an appropriate power supply.

djQUAN said:is that for the car or home?
Either. The difference between a car amp and a home amp is generally just the Power Supply part of the circuit.
Ie, a car amp PSU has to get +/- V from 12VDC.
A home amp PSU has to get +/- V from 110/220VAC
Hello People,
thanks a lot for your replies, they're appreciated.
I am checking the design links I received. However here is some input:
- Power supply no problem. I have components to build a very large one. I have some 15.000 uF capacitors left from my previous hand made QUAD 405.
- How much to spend: well, I was hoping to get away with some 250 to 400 USD excluding power supply.
Best regards

You can always make an amp out of LM3886 chips. If you bridge them with +/- 35v supplies, they will give you 450 watts max into 8 ohms. You can get free samples from www.national.com
