Default 2 AMP's?????

i have 2 amps, 2x 10" 1000 watts JBL subs and 2x 500 watts 6x9's. will i be able to run the 2 amps of the same power cable running from the battery for the existing amp??? i tried it today, sounded awsome for 15 mins, then the fuse blew. will i be able to just put a new fuse in but increase the AMP's (30 amp in already, that blew, would 40 or 50 amp fuse be ok???).

thanks

yes you should be able to run multiple amplifiers from the same power cable (what ga are your power wires?). what you should do is get two distribution blocks, one should be fused. don't change fuses in your amplifiers with higher rated ones, that way it won't protect your amplifier if something goes wrong with it. you might have to increase the fuse that you have in-line with the battery, should be under the hood really close to the battery, to accomodate two amplifiers.

if you want it to sound better I would sell those 6x9's and get some JL Audio 6.5's or infinity kappa 6.5's. Also it would help to know RMS power rather than "max" power. Also make sure your ground is as big or bigger than the power wire and as short as possible.

Check the IASCA chart for power vs. wire guage before upgrading the main fuse! You don't want to burn your car down.
