Hello all,
I've build a couple of amps and now, I feel ready to build a switching power supply and a multiple channel car amp. I've gathered most of the required parts but I can't find good suitable transformer cores. I'd like to build something similar to the project shown there: http://sound.westhost.com/project89.htm I've estimated the power requirements to 400W for the main channels (4x50WRMS + losses) and 400W for the sub channels (2x150W + losses) so I think that a good size toroid or ETD core would do just fine. The problem is, I can't seem to find them readily available in a retail store anywhere! If anyone knows a store that sells them in small quantity, let me know, I need two or three of them... not two or three thousands! Thanks, Sébastien |
