well back to his orginal question..
the sub is rated at 400rms , and you say you have a 120x1rms?

well it will work.. the sub will be severely underpowered.
i am pretty sure there will not be much sound quality hence the box is prefab and un-tuned.

don't forget you will probably need a 12v source for the box

everything total is 105 shipped.

IMO
If you want to DiY, you can definitly pick up a decent sub for about 60-$70, and if you have the tools, buy some MDF and build your own box, also this way you can tune it accordingly to a SQ or SPL application.. more than likely this way you will save trunk space!

well i can assume that this would be your first system?

just go for it.. whether your amp puts out 120rms or 400rms, the sub will still move, but preferably 400rms ;) This is an "acceptable" deal if it is your first system.

besides im pretty sure down the road, if you do still like car audio, you will obviously upgrade....

I would also suggest you check out the Diamond CM3, Kicker CompVR, PG Ti. All great entry level subwoofers.
