Default Opinion on Sony Amps

I'm looking to get a new amp, and i see that Sony has some amps that promise a lot of RMS power for a lot less than other companies. Does anyone have an opinion about whether or not they will last as long as say, a fosgate? generally how are sony amps?
Thanks

Its named "Xplod" for a reason...

JBL makes some reasonably priced amps for the power output. I would look at the BP1200.1 I seem to remember it being sold for about $250 at several places.

Sony almost never rates thier products in RMS.
All thier car stuff is in peak (2x RMS in most cases) which takes the price difference off.
You can definately buy alot better
