Soundstream responded with a not allowed to have the schematic? So I need to find the value of the resistor. I used a 1.5k that what the burnt one read.

I don't understand SS. Plenty of people have got diagrams from them. I think it depends on who you talk to.

If someone here was successful getting diagrams for newer amp from SS, please tell us your secret.

What does it connect to in the amp?

Does the amp work with the 1.5k?

The three large diodes.

The large 3 diodes likely connect between the B+ and ground terminals. Does the resistor parallel the diodes?

Seems too. I know more when I fix the driver issue after the parts come in.

On the power acoustik a3000db diagram and the kx1-5500 diagram (you have both), there is a 1k 1w resistor across the B+ and ground but you cannot burn a 1k resistor like that with the voltage that feeds the amp. A 1/4w 1k resistor can withstand 12v with no problem.

Well I got soundstream to tell me basically what you already did the value of the resistor R8 is 1k 1watt.

The amp had two of the output getting hotter than the rest. This is the low side drive, same for all.

High side, I see the 50hrtz on DC coupling. Should I just change the output transistors?

All of that noise probably means that there is reference problem with the scope. Can you set your scope up as shown in section 8 on the tech tips 8 page?
