Search the internet for WinISD, download that and see what box it recommends. It might have MTX subs in it already, otherwise, put all those parameters to use

Heya, Wingman,

I had these same exact speakers, and I had a friend custom build boxes for me. Reply to this message if you want me to post a pic of them for ya. The boxes fit perfectly behind my seats in a 95 GMC Sonoma (regular cab / not extended).

I just got a 99 Dodge Dakota extended cab, so I want to buy an MTX ThunderForm to mount the speakers under my back seats.

I'm trying to sell them right now anyway, so let me know if you're interested in them.

I have 2 10 MTX thunder 5000 and 2*80 Wrms in 4 ohm.

It looks like those are fairly easy to work with...

A sealed box in the 30-80 liter range (total volume, for both woofers) should work nicely.

Lean toward the 30-40 liter size for more exxagerated bass output and better power handling, at the expense of sounding a little boomy.

For more precise bass, lean toward the 60-80 liter range.

Experiment with various amounts of stuffing. Typically, enclosures that are small for a given woofer will benefit from generous stuffing, while larger boxes just need a good lining of the walls.

Whatever you decide -I highly recommend strong, liberal internal bracing to keep the enclosure rigid. And seal all joints with silicone, etc to keep it airtight.
