Amp had 1 blown output and a blown driver ic IR4426

Replaced the outputs and driver IC

I have every output out of the amp and all 4 driverboards.

The amp still only shows 0.07 ohms between pads 2-3 for the outputs

Any ideas ?

If it's for all outputs, it could be something about the design. I've never seen one but I heard it was an unconventional design.

Yeah it for all of the outputs i will clean the board up some more and post some pictures of the amp.

This amp does not have "outputs" in the traditional sense. There are 64 IRF3207's that work in conjunction with the 6 IRFP4242's pass switches in a complex timing sequence controlled by the microcontroller based on the input signal.

Do you have all 64 mosfets and the 4 driver boards removed from the board?Post pic's and I might be able to offer some help.

Everything is back in the amp.

Problem i have is i have 240 volts of DC measured directly across the speaker terminals it sucks the test sub inword

What speaker are you driving? The amp requires a dual voice coil load, and drives each voice coil separately and opposite polarities. so VC1 will only see the positive half and VC2 will only see the negative half of the cycle.

I had a Dual voice coil (4 ohm x2) 15" sub as the test speaker.

So i have a positive and negative from 1 voice coil and apositive and negative from the other voice coil how do i wire it to the amp ?

Treat each VC as its own speaker and wire pos to pos terminal post and neg to neg terminal post from one Anderson connector, same for the other VC. There is a warhorse manual you can download from Kicker website or elsewhere. Min 2 ohm load.

In your Post #1 you said you had one blown output.
What part are you referring to? IRF3207?

Also, you mentioned .07 ohms between pads 2-3.
Where you able to clear the short and what specific pads are you referring to?

My experience with this amp is limited. There are maybe a handful of people who have worked on this amp.If you are working on this amp for someone else you might consider calling the Electronic Repair Department at Kicker. The repair cost may be high and long lead time but it will be done right.
