Recommend Car Graphic/Parametric Equalizers?

Having a look for Parametric Equalizer to run off dc input. So i’ve been looking at car ones.

There is a large lack of data about them EQ centre point graphs, what pre amp ICs used, etc.

I want 3band (bass, mid , treble) or 4band (bass, mid-bass, mid, treble) tone controls. Open to suggestions of 7band EQs or more too.

Which brands are crap?
I really want low noise. Can’t stand noisy crap.

I can face spending £80-£100~ for fancy 10band but if i can get something simpler for less then that’s preferable. IDK maybe I would like 10band... makes for a lot of fiddling though... :/

Got a nice OPA tone board from china but its duel dc which is being a pain to find good enough dc-dc converters. Which looks like they will cost me £35 for 30mv ripple or £50 for high power one that can survive capacitive load mistakes. So i thought instead of this cost, i would look again at car EQ and see if theres any good ones. As there around the same price as the dc-dc isolated converters from digikey!

arrgh.
apparently the PWM-70 | PowerAcoustik has an annoying on/off thump problem.

I think i will prefer a wider err bandwidth one than narrow frequ adjustment. which this planet audio one is.

arrgh but then the poweracoustik pwm-70 has 0.05%THD

When the Behringer FBQ800 has THD = 0.003% typ. @ 0 dBu for £60 vs £40 for pwm-70. hmmm

0.05% THD is absolutely insignificant. ABSOLUTELY.

If this is to be used in a car and the Behringer isn't designed to be used in a car, it's probably not an option. Car equipment has special input circuits to eliminate noise.

arr ok then, yea i need to learn more about thd... thx I’m using them for portable battery power little pa/boombox or hifi listening setups. using nice recent amps of tpa325* which have low thd. under 0.005% for most of amp power output.

Most people would have a LOT of trouble hearing 1% THD in blind tests. The speakers will introduce far more distortion that any of the electronics.

Got the Power Acoustik PWM-70 from amazon for £40 but im returning it as i can too easily hear its noise floor. My nice silent amps boards are now noisy hiss thanks to this. Its worse if amp unit has preamp built in. I used a nice fiio e17k dac for a low noise source.

ok so i got the In Phase SRX-EQ and its come.
Much better noise floor. good enough that i will keep it. i expect hocked to line level input of amp it will be praticaly or near silent. with extra NE355 vol pre-amp built into amp build i have. i can hear the noise floor when its turned up hmm around or above half way on the amp vol. At around 1/4 vol amp then its near or like silent with the equalizer . with the equalizer turned up to max. Eq testing was powered by a battery and x-small bookshelf speakers. ill test with other amps and speakers at a later point.

got it for £80~ better than evilzom prices! surprisingly cheap for it.

They used fancy metal logo impression plate for the lid and a bunch of ICs from Home - STMicroelectronics . STM seam to make cheaper but ok ICS. I would prefer better ics than fancymetal logo impression plate.

Vol pot nobs are ok. front view looks good but side view not so good. Pot nobs have rubber sleeve for better grip.

RCA/phone sockets are nice nickel panel mounted ones. Secured with a nut .
