Protect light is on. No outputs bad and no inverters in power supply bad. Amp is very similar to ZX700.5. There's a thread about a ZX700.5 with, what appears to be, the same problem as this amp. In that thread Perry said to lift Q314 & Q315. Can anyone point me to where these are on the board? This amp has a small board that feeds the turn-on to pin 8 of the 454 chip. I'm getting .34 volts to pin 8. these are the voltages on the vertical board.

Try pulling the class D board (do not plug/unplug while the rail caps are charged). Sometimes a failure on that board causes the amp to go into protect (but it generally only goes into protect after the relay clicks).
