Making car amplifier SMPS with tl494 + DC Protection

I have been also searching for any car amp. service manual (www, *****, etc..) and no luck .

I have found http://fileshare.eshop.bg to have some car audio service manuals but it don't alowe me to download anything

The output voltage of the power supply depends on the transfer function of the opto coupler. I wouldn't use it in a car amp, it'll likely drift badly over temperature.

hi all of you,
I built that smps but both the mosfet are buz11 and it is heated very much and the smps is taking 7amp. to 9amp. without any load at output power so please hint about it

try more primary windings. Most likely another 1 or 2 should solve your problem

I have tried the amp and it's sound verry good.But the output tranzistors were very hot.One man told me the bias adjusment but this bias adjusment is not present on this car amplifier.The secon one is oscillating if this amplifier do that what kind i do to stoped.

I looked over the schematic and observed a few things. The SG3525 is a *voltage* mode controller (VMC). The topology is a push-pull center-tap (PPCT). One issue with the PPCT (as well as half-bridge, and full-bridge) is core saturation due to unequal pulse widths applied to each half of the primary. Once saturated, the transformer primary magnetizing current increases dramatically, and that may be why the FETs are getting hot. The two classical methods to avoid saturation with a PPCT are a coupling capacitor between the 12V input and the primary center tap, or the use of a *current* mode controller (CMC). Also, the 100 ohm gate resistors in each FET are very high in value. The FETs will not switch fast enough. I would use around 4.7 ohms instead. I hope this helps. Best regards.
