?? about driver ic in general

car amplifier driver ic ?
i no when the driver ic gos bad it will put out + or - volts on your speaker terminals
when they are bad dos it all ways do that?
or can they be bad and just make the amp not put out any sound at all
with the speaker terminals being ok no volts on them at all?

The driver IC isn't generally what determines if DC will be driven to the speaker terminals. The amp may have DC offset protection which will shut the amp down if there is a fault (any fault) that could drive DC to the speakers.
